Today at midday UAG signed the purchase of a new farm: EL TINTO. It is a 1.597 hectare farm next to Yaguarí and from an operational standpoint these two farms will be managed as a single productive unit of 5625 hectares of grains and livestock production.
UAG is planning a rotational system with commercial crops and legume based pastures. Pastures will be basically dedicated to calf growing. Calves born in La Veronica will be transported to this new productive unit to get a more efficient growing system.
At the same time, this farm will be utilized for the Holstein female growing phase up to service. From the commercial crops side, wheat-soybean-sorghum are the three more important grain crops to be seeded. In irrigated areas, rice-soybean will conform the rotational system.
